Moxibustion

The herbal mixture of Artemisa Wormwood when is burning creates a smoke that is at the same time, penetrating and healing. The human body does not limit itself to the physical part that we normally see with our physical eyes. There are other layers, not as physically condense as the body but that nevertheless are part of us and maintain a constant communication between what we call physical and what we do not see with the ordinary eyes, but it is as much part of us as our feelings.

For example, when somebody comes to close to our physical body without touching it, we feel it. That layer of our selves is where the Moxibustion acts. The penetrating smoke of Artemisa Wormwood has the ability to relax the sinews, tendons, muscles and membranes of the physical body and harmonize the negative energies there, particularly when there is cold pain, deficiency of function and cold exhaustion leading to lack of vigor.

The smoking branch of healing has many uses and qualities. Moxibustion has become to be known as the burning of Artemisa Wormwood, but there are other healing smokes that shamans everywhere have used for the cleansing of the physical and subtle bodies.

In this office we use many types of smoke, from Artemisa proper for the correction of pain, stagnation, coldness, cold trauma, deficiency and exhaustion to the use of Sahumerio, Palo Santo, Sage, Dragon’s Blood, Sinicuichi and other sacred smokes.

Sahumerio cleanses the chackras, the negative energies of the past errors that have lodged themselves in our energy field. Palo Santo invokes the energy of prayer, Sinicuichi opens our heart and other sacred smokes facilitate the entrance into states of consciousness where healing can happen.
